Andrea Jeremiah
Andrea Maria Jeremiah, an Indian actress and musician most well known for her performance in Tamil and Malayalam films. Her debut as an actress was the Tamil film Pachaikili Muthucharam in addition to her Malayalam debut was with Annayum's Rasoolum. Andrea Jeremiah is from an Anglo-Indian origin. She was born to an attorney from the Madras High Court attorney. Her younger sister is a research assistant from Belgium and lives in Leuven. Jeremiah was raised near Chennai and went to National Public School and graduated from Women's Christian College. Andrea learned to play classical piano in her eighth year. Young Stars was the Jackson Five band Andrea joined at age 10. The band led her to her debut singing career and her early musical composition. At her university, she was also a theater artist and performed in stage plays organized through The Madras Players. She was president of the Women's Christian College's Student Senate. Andrea started performing as a child actress acting in Girish Karnad Nagamandala. She was a part-time actress in a brand new advertisement for Leo alongside actor Shiva. Also, she acted as a actor in a Podhigai's TV series. She has appeared in various shows across India. She played a minor role in the Kanda Mudhal finale (2005). She sang a song for Gautham Vasudev's Vettaiyaadu. The director asked her to play one of his female leads for Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea plays Kalyani as a wife and mother whose man has an affair. Andrea was picked to play the character following the actors Simran Shobana and Tabu were invited to audition for the film. It was released early in 2010. The film was released in August 2011. Venkat Prabhu released his multi-starrer Mankatha. It was her turn to take on a lesser support role. The actress made her Malayalam film debut with Rajeev Rathi's Annayum Rasoolum in the year 2013.
