Lisa Edelstein is an American actor, most famous for her roles on House, a Fox medical drama, House. Raised in Wayne within a conservative Jewish traditions, she moved to New York City at the age of 18 to pursue studies in theatre at Tisch school of arts. She soon became part of the New York club scene and started making headlines. The press also took notice of her. She then merged her fame and talent with her writing and composing skills in the production of a play titled Positive Me. The first time she was hired, she got her first position with MTV as the presenter of Awake on the Wild Side shortly after. Once Awake on the Wild Side stopped airing, she started to act in films and on television, initially in small roles. In time, her experience as an actress increased.
